The issue here is a lot of these specialty car buys are from out of state. Both the SS customer and the Cayenne customer are looking at cars halfway across the country. They don’t want to fly out there for a test drive only to find out the car is crap.

The short answer is: stay away from dealerships that require a commitment to buy just to test drive.
