The key is to drive an electric car, so gas taxes to fix the roads are paid for by someone else.

With Model S, you get “an interior”, which isn’t even available as an option on TM3.
I know that I and more than a few people I know, prefer the styling of the S (interior and exterior) to the 3. With the current high costs of the 3 packages available, if I were buying a Tesla, I’d definitely be more apt to buy a low battery S just on looks alone. But that’s just me.
Neutral: I feel the size, body style and features of the S are different enough from the 3 that battery range and performance isn't the only deciding factor for buyers. That’s my completely uninformed opinion as someone who is not a Tesla customer.
I think the 60 kWh rating on the Bolt is the actual usable capacity - can’t say on the Leaf.
If I continue to commute as I do, my next commuter car will be an EV as well
Still not going to touch this. So long as it remains an air cooled battery, it’s always going to be susceptible to thermal issues. Rapid charging makes a LOT of heat, and wanting to get beyond the driving radius of the initial charge means repeated hits at rapid charging stations. The car has simply evolved from an…
So less than 2 years of typical mileage on a 4 test old car. I'm not sold😂
I believe it. My 2nd or next will be electric.
226 Miles range when new. That equates to about 45 after the battery cooks due to lack of cooling over the summer. C’mon Nissan.
They made it better looking too. Can’t wait for it to depreciate into my price range. Though I wish their batteries held up long term better. Current 3-5 year old leafs are cheap but only have about 50-60 miles of range from what I have seen.
I do too! I am all for one as a commuter car. Frankly I don’t need 200 or 300mi range because that won’t be enough but I already have a commuter car for my 65mi round trip commute. Give me a true 80mi in the winter with the seat heater going(120mi rating?) and I’ll be happy as a clam to trade my gasser for one. I…
This is all true and it’s another reason why the credit score system is so bonkers.
RichRebuilds is still waiting on his new Tesla
You would think so, but lifting in a spot not designed to handle the full load of the car would damage the battery casing or worse.
I say tax income at a lower rate than dividends. *Unearned* income should be taxed much higher.
What is the German obsession with eliminating things they consider undesirable?
Please let him know his work was appreciated.
The scene in Two Lane Blacktop where The Mechanic talks about changing their carb jets, long before EFI you had to manually keep your air/fuel ratio in check and be mindful of changing altitude during your cross-country trek.
Not so much an accuracy point, but more of an appreciation. All of the cars in Wreck It Ralph and WIR 2 were three pedal manuals, and I propose that the chase scene from WIR 2 is the best cinematic car sequence of any movie this year.
