Hey, if you've got the coin to shoot yourself in the foot with a Python, why not with an FD as well?

An amphibious airplane that can be used for just lounging around? Well the concept has been around for awhile, why don't they just build off that? I'd totally buy it!

This times 100.

Now playing

I know I'm late to the party, but this has got to be one of the best F-14 videos I've seen

A C-130 can do it with no cat... But that's about it. Maybe an A-10, but I'm not familiar with their takeoff requirements

Assuming it even works... Seriously, they've never tested it on a ship, and can only guess how its going to hold up onboard. I hope it works out well - hate to see our tax dollars wasted

2 on the front, 2 at the "waist" (Port [left] side of the ship, toward the end of the landing area).

I'm sure it's been mentioned a few times already; but I vote for Subaru owners. Why? Because people ask us what we think is the best car for their needs - more often than not, it's very similar to our needs and we feel it best to point out why our car is awesome and theirs is not. "I mean, seriously, Subaru wagons are

I think you got part of that backwards - '69 Camaro was 186" long (overall) and 74" wide; '69 Nova was 189" long and 72" wide. Fun part is that the '68-'72 Nova has the same underpinnings as the '67-'69 Camaro, so any handling parts (suspension, springs, steering, brakes - but not tires) that fit a 1st gen Camaro will

"then let me be blunt: a smaller, lighter, better balanced, and equally (if not more?) powerful car"

The question is, why would you want them to remake the Nova? GM doesn't have the greatest track record for resurrecting dead model names. Besides, you have to consider where the Nova fit in with the rest of Chevy's lineup from 1970 - right about where the Cruze is; meaning a new Nova would probably be a FWD

That wing pattern sure looks familiar...

This. I was looking at 05+ Legacy GT wagons a few months ago, and ended up with an '04 XT. The Forester was built off the Impreza platform, so most of the parts interchange, and they're still pretty sleeper-ish.

Seconded! The '04's had the STI engine with the smaller WRX turbo; get one with a stick, and for around $1K (if you play your cards right), you can be making equal or more power than a stock STI, without the terrible insurance premiums!

Because turbo. Your argument is invalid.
Yeah, I agree that it's the ugliest WRX wagon ever made, but which would you rather have? Ugly WRX wagon, or no WRX wagon (or in this guy's case, no WRX at all)?

I don't remember the whole story of who came up with the idea, but it goes something like the Air Force said they could sneak a B-52 in below a carrier's radar, the Navy said "pffft, yeah right! Those are way too big to fly under our radar cover!", and the rest is history.

For everyone dishing hate on Subaru's CVT, I have one question: Have you driven a Subaru with a 4EAT? If you want a transmission to hate on, that's the one to hate - it plain sucks.
My girlfriend's parents have a '13 Outback with CVT, and we drove that thing from Hampton Roads, VA, to New Orleans, LA, and back; it was

Most (if not all) the pre-bugeye Outback Sports had the tank-like 2.2 if equipped with a 5-speed. The EJ255 used in the post-bugeye cars weren't nearly as bad as the EJ25D

For those commenting about how surprised they were about the size of the explosion, think about it; the goal of those mines were to disable ships, either by sinking or flooding enough critical compartments that it couldn't carry out its mission. Pictures don't usually do justice, so if you ever have the chance to see

CP, and here's why: Lesson I learned from my SVX: Rarity =/= collectors item.
