But - unlike a lightsaber - once you build/rebuild one, you'll never want to do it again! Of course, mine was an old Quadrajet... you can do a Google search to find out just how much of a pain they were if you didn't know what you were doing!

Reminds me of an F-117 canopy

Love it or hate it (I'm sure someone else has already mentioned it), I have to nominate Rusty Slammington

Nononononononono, THIS is how a rotary engine works:

Anybody who ever watched Dukes of Hazzard as a kid knew exactly how often "dipstick" got interchanged with "idiot"

A real commercial? Sadly, yes. First heard about it from a local morning radio show; and no jokes were spared about it. I think that's why I thought to post it here - one of the jokes was "really? do you see her teeth? do you really want that as advertisement?"

Now playing

For some strange reason, this was the first thing I thought of (and it's almost just as bad!)

Slow as hell, wrong-wheel-drive, can't turn worth a damn and the "check engine" light is almost always on... but it rides like a cloud and the seats are SO soft. The A/C system is also one of the quickest-chilling systems I've ever experienced (which is very nice during a humid Virginia summer). I would never own

It must be that area of Oregon... My grandma did something quite similar back in the '70's with a Volkswagen... At least she admits that she fell asleep at the wheel, albeit a few decades after the fact.

Blasphemy... beautiful, beautiful blasphemy :D

My vote? Any '90's Subaru. I've owned 3 ('95 Legacy Wagon, '98 Legacy GT, '92 SVX) and was pulled over in ALL of them. I got pulled over in my SVX the day after I got it on the road.

Yes, but many more and you risk burn out

Why didn't Subaru ever offer an H6 with a manual? Easy (but still a cop-out) 5MT's can't reliably handle the torque (sad, isn't it?) and a 6MT would be "too expensive" when only people like us would buy them. That said, I fully support anyone swapping a clutch pedal into one of these!

Okay, that's "A" kickass reliable car... I wouldn't go as far as to say "the most"

ANYTHING Japanese? Even a Camry? Yeah, no. I'm sorry, but I just can't see "Camry" and "most kickass car" in the same sentence.

Seconded!!

Favorite blue car? The one in my garage, of course!

+1 on that! I've had my Nova since I was 15, and to date I can count on 1 hand how many women were interested in the car. Almost every time I stop, a middle-aged man comes up to me and wants to talk about the car and how it brings back memories of one he had in high school, etc.
