I’ve made the final decision today that I’m adopting a dog in the new year and I’m so excited! But equally worried about training etc. (as well as convincing my landlord to let me have a dog...)

From your references, does that mean you’re Scottish? I’m in Edinburgh and I have just today after many months/years of waiting and mulling it over decided to get a (rescue) dog in early 2017. I’m so excited but I have so many questions and things to sort out!

I’m so jealous of all of you trapped inside because of the heat. I moved to Scotland and so far we’ve had 2 days where I could go out without a jacket and it didn’t rain...

I looked at my diary for the week and it was completely empty except for one day, so I checked what the plan was for that day. And you guys it’s totally ‘Battle of the Boyne’ on the 12th(!!!), so clearly I have loads of battling to do/celebrate/commiserate.

I would’ve 100% taken you up on this and gotten you to facetime/skype me the hell into those viewings haha! However, the need has gone, because as of the 1st of July I am the proud tenant of a flat near Holyrood Park!…

I am sad I am missing this one. I am trying to move up sometime before July, but it turns out Edinburgh is IMPOSSIBLE for finding flats unless you are a wizard who can sense when a flat will be available and instantly take it off the market *sigh*.

Ah yes, I am currently looking for work, writing a research proposal, trying to move and trying to hire someone to replace me at my current job. I am not one to judge late replies ;) And July cannot come early enough!!

Yay! I’m not moving until the start of July, but this will make me feel less intimidated moving to a city where I know hardly anyone at all!

Hey! I mostly lurk (daily) on jezebel and only comment once or twice, but I am moving to Edinburgh this Summer and I don’t really know anyone there! Would I be able to come to this meeting in the future? And if so, how would I know where/when it’s happening? Please can I hang out with the cool kids please?
