I want to believe you, especially since my wife had an ‘03 Focus and it was great. Trouble is, my sister had a ‘13 Focus. Even if you discount the DCT problems, the car was a hot mess. She would have set fire to it if she could have recovered financially from it.

I’m a New Yorker and I use the Thruway from time to time. I know others that do. The ones on E46's never sealed very well. There’s actually a mod called the “sock mod” where you put a sock over the reservoir to keep it from splashing fluid all over the front of the engine when the car’s driven hard. Mine’s not and I have to wipe a film of power steering fluid and dirt off the reservoir regularly.
