He moved them a few feet closer into the yard...everyone seemed to be generally happy with the compromise :)

My parents live at the bottom of a turning, downhill road in MN. Every summer, local high school students put tire tracks through their gardens and every winter they lose their mailbox at least twice (usually in spectacular fashion - chunks of 6x6 40 yds down road, mailbox completely GONE, etc). Dad installed boulders

Correct for most cars - they’re an awful, painful project. But on a Jeep XJ like mentioned above - surprisingly easy. Whole thing comes out through the back hatch.

Yep, pull the whole headliner and redo it. If you’re efficient it’s a 2 hr job end to end and will probably cost you about $60 including spray glue and headliner material. Just did this on a 2000 Jeep and it looks awesome. It’s really not too difficult, honestly.

Sorry David, that XJ was a lying tramp...there’s just no such thing as a rust-free XJ.

I had no idea staph did that. I’m always super careful about food safety at home so it may have been contaminated before I got it. Thanks for expanding my knowledge today! :)

There are no excuses for the dealership’s behavior. They could have asked more about him as a potential buyer and built a relationship.

Two things: 1) It would be nice if the article included a general rule on WHEN (i.e. after a dispatcher told you to), 2) as the owner of a fluffy dog who likes to pant a lot, I recommend leaving a note on the window if you leave your pet in the car. Mine explains that the A/C is on full blast, he’s listening to Foo

I know! - it’s actually the small snowfalls that are the problem, the 5"+ stuff keeps the idiots off the road and traffic’s fine, it’s the 0.5"-3" that’s the problem. You’d think some Minnesotans had never seen snow before.

MN is seasonal. Winter ends, ppl are happy, act nice to each other. Summer drones on, it gets hot, we all know winter is coming, everyone gets angry. First snow hits, scares the sh*t out of at least 50% of the geniuses who thought they knew how to drive, everyone is nice again.

I can see the stone now (I blame reading in bed and whisky) but agree - not a good layout overall.

I work on/drive E types a lot and notice the lack of roll bars every once in a while...then I question the intentions of my lap belt.

Good article. Side note - the driftwood backsplash in that cover photo looks like a terrible fire hazard behind the range. Anybody else notice that??

That’s actually what I figured it was after the fact. Luckily I must not have gotten too much of it as it was only acute for a day or so and I was fatigued for about another 2-3. Scary stuff though.

I got this from what I presume was scallops that had been held at a refrigerated temp too long. It was one of the more disturbing experiences I’ve ever had, but it was gone in a day or so. “Visual disturbances” as well as nausea and vomiting...

PSA for #3 - that fake phone number you give them is likely someone else’s, and it suck for that person to get every telemarketer on earth calling them despite their trying to opt out.

My wife and I had this happen in CA with ants. Biting ants. We’re on vacation with friends and parked her car under a tree for a few days. Started driving back home and one ant, then two, then 10. Pretty soon we were out of the car at a gas station brushing them off of us. Fun fact, all CA gas stations have air and

Yes, I like this :) I’ve had two beautiful failures: 1) hi pressure power steering hose on an offroad Jeep failed at the top of an on-ramp. 12" wide tires with no PS and dual steering stabilizers requires every ounce of strength to move on a big Jeep, BUT I was at the top of a hill and my friendly neighborhood

My wife and I ran an old Fiat down to fumes in the middle of the dessert somewhere SE of Oualidia, Morocco a few years back. We found a gas station with what we estimated was a mile left in the tank. The only dude there only took cash and I pretty much emptied my wallet to him. Have never been happier to pay that much

PSA: First thing to get is a HELMET. I’m amazed how many people ride without them when they’re cheap and will save your as*. I’ve ridden road and mountain for 15 years and I’ve had no less than three crashes where the radiologist said I’d be dead without a helmet. Be safe and have fun out there.
