Oh, not even a question, but it’s a helluva lot easier to get a new part...

Great article - very true that it’s hard to figure out the differences. I started only buying from local parts stores after having to replace the UCAs on a Lexus SC430 twice in a year using ebay parts. My basic logic is that paying more to get it from a local store makes it THEIR problem to replace if it fails early

Oh come on! He was hiding from the press in the bushes. That’s just objectively funny!

Just diagnosed this with my 2000XJ courtesy of some good advice from the guys at Iron Rock Offroad. Lay under the front end (on jack stands) have someone wiggle the steering wheel and listen for clicks. Quite helpful. Mine did it at 53 mph. If you had the courage to charge through to 57mph it would stop, but that was

Right on. Yes, it sucks, but that rule is there for a reason (security purposes) and the system is there for a reason (filling capacity in the case of no-shows). I’ve flown Delta for years and they’re pretty good about working with you in difficult cases if you call them (they’re rebooked me on other airlines when

I’ve taken lit butts to the front oil cooler of my 911 a few times. Pisses me off.

Thank you for the above! Just found out 2 wks ago I’m going to be a father...still processing a bit, but this seems like some great advice on communication. Thanks for sharing!

I’m terrible at misplacing keys. My wife got me a Tile. That, or a similar Bluetooth locator is a godsend!

Agreed. Rear bench seat molded headrests are another way to match it.

More like oak-eh. Eh?

I left about about 6" between myself and the counter getting breakfast at a hotel in Hong Kong and that was enough space for someone to step in front of me... no joke.

This is amazing. Thank you so much for sharing Ken!

Those are some tough seat frames...

Frequent international traveler here (work and play) - best thing is sync up your light exposure to your destination. If it’s dark where you’re going, sleep on the plane (bring eyeshades/earplugs), but if it’s daytime, make sure you stay awake and expose yourself to light through the overhead light or an open window

Keep in mind that if calling from the road, it helps dispatchers to immediately know which road and what city you’re in so they can transfer you appropriately. Have the road, cross street (or mile marker) and travel direction ready to go. Oh, and be nice and THANK your dispatcher...they’ve got a really tough job.

Agree. Syria needs, culture, beauty and art to truly rebuild. Car collections provide that to some people - that’s why I restore classics. Best of luck to Mr. Anis as he restores and rebuilds.

I will second this. Particularly if they are wide mud terrains. The set I had on a modified WJ and it was terrifying on ice and even on wet roads for that matter.

Agreed. If all you’ve got is a Chrysler 8.25 that looks like it was salvaged from a shipwreck you gotta wear those rusty drums with pride!!

Agreed. Put all seasons on a RWD 300hp grand tourer thinking “Minnesota! It will help out when it isn’t quite snow tire time!” Nope. It just sucks all the time. Can’t wait until the tread is toast.
