2007 Jeep Commander. Major electrical demons. Whenever I hit the unlock button something new happens. The headlights come on and turn off. The fog lights come on and turn off. All of the flashers flash once...or twice...or once, slowly, two times. Sometimes it just chimes. Yesterday when detailing it, after having the…
My wife and I did a road trip through Morocco about a year ago. Cruising down a two-lane highway in our sporty Fiat Punto and in a blaze of noise and fury we get passed by an R8 who NARROWLY misses causing a head-on crash at around 95mph. Wife and I shake our heads and keep on driving...until the next roundabout…
Honestly, anyone under 35 would be lucky and happy to get a social security check at all with how funding and appropriations are going right now.
See, this isn’t where I’m at. Let’s all be nice and think about each other. My neighbors? 4 cars parked in front of the house (and my house sometime). Why? 3 boys in high school. I nicely asked them to keep the tires off my lawn, they do. I know the cars will disappear when they go to college. Not a big deal.
I have to agree that the series 1 bodies in particular are pretty much perfect as they were built, HOWEVER, when you have a non matching numbers car the value drops so significantly that’s it can make doing something like this worthwhile. It’s so rare you see any restomods of E-types that it’s almost a little fun to…
I agree. I restore E-Types as a hobby/side-job. The engines are remarkably simple, but they have a LOT of quirks and require some “local knowledge” so to speak. The hardest part nowadays is finding quality parts - small variations in seals, machining, etc. can create total chaos like I ran into on an oil filter…
Or as I heard a trucker say once: “road braille”
It’s not quite that flat. But definitely that cold.
Can’t agree more. I ride year round (road/Mtn/fat) and find most “roadies” to be overcompensating dicks who need to prove their self worth by making other feel like “Freds”. Real bikers wave, say hi, and have a beer with you at the local brewery.
I have to agree. Honest mistake, sure. But couldn’t you have just asked for ID and proof you’re the child’s parent before drawing down? That seems totally unprofessional and unnecessary. While I respect the very difficult job peace officers have, I agree with other responses that situations like these damage police…
This is what has dissuaded me so far - I’ve got 12 ft ceilings and god knows I could use a lift, but I haven’t been able wrap my head around the hi-rise and jackshaft opener costs.
This thing is amazing. Best printer I’ve every had.

Exactly right, the key to those conditions is keeping your wits about you and not blindly trusting the ABS. Don’t get me wrong, I had driven like an idiot on that trail many times, but when I came face to face with that moose about 5 years ago I wasn’t fu$king around with the conditions and was still lucky to not…
Buddy, have you ever driven 25 miles of gravel single track from Superior to the Canadian border? The temp that day ranged from 34F at the shore to -5F inland. Road was plowed with a triple axle road grader - not ideal. Trust me, I don’t feel like taking any chances when going off the road means 2-3 days hanging out in…
Having been in a very similar situation a few years back on northern MN, I slid .25mi after applying brakes. Depending on the road surface it can turn into a brake and pray situation pretty fast and when you least expect it.
Came to say the same thing - get your damn shoe off the hood you moron!
Haha, iPhone fail. That’s some irony :)
