Is anyone honestly surprised? Who is expecting the quality of a larger sensor camera in a smart phone photo taken indoors? It’s the one place where smart phones greatly struggle still.

lenovo P series is tight. I bought a mid range P71 for a client and it cost about 2900CAD. It looks like a thinkpad, but everything feels so much butter better. Really nice touch pad, doesn’t try to do anything special, it just works very well, and doesn’t have the terrible macbook-imposter…
$4500 / year sounds ridiculously cheap.
I tried the same recently. Actually, I went through 4 different laptops before giving up and going back to a MBP: XPS 13, Surface Laptop, Huawei Matebook X Pro, LG Gram.
The trackpads were all okay, but they just paled in comparison to the MBP’s. I gave each device a solid 2 weeks, but I kept having to return them…
I haven’t tried the Surface Book yet. If they do a power-base refresh with the latest nvidia tech, I might be tempted. But what they really need to do is toss the baby out with the bathwater and go full in on USB Type-C and thunderbolt 3. A hexacore i7 + 4 TB3 ports + an RTX1170/RTX2070 base would be my picture of…
I hate the things that try to be everything to everyone and end up making some ridiculous compromises. I’d rather have a $1200 gaming rig and a $300 chromebook instead of spending an extra $1000 and have something that’s not as powerful as the desktop or not as light/portable as the chromebook.
Someone let me know when a PC laptop has a trackpad that both feels as good and works as good as a Mac’s. I have several gaming laptops. Their trackpads all suck either on feel or on function (essentially palm rejection). I can build a god-rig in a desktop, but FFS - we buy laptops because we need them - not because…
I think if I was going to buy an actual gaming laptop I would avoid these or anything that even mentions the word thin. I would stick with an Alienware or something that uses a real cooling system and doesn’t care that it’s a very large, heavy laptop. You can put the best components in one of these and they will…
Could somebody round up the marketing idiots who concocted this “thin is in” obsession and allow them access to their device chargers once per day, so they can properly experience the consequences of their stupidity?
Truffle oil???
How do you go from Google Maps to Apple Maps...... You don't, you simply don't.
If someone orders steak well done, they actually don't like steak.
This.
Ever been to Heinz Field? The under-the-overpass lots are the NICE tailgating spots.
I was listening to one of my favorite albums last night and was like “Yeah this is good shit!” Then it hit me the album came out in 1998 and I’ve been saying “Yeah this is good shit!” for 20 years.
A sharp-eyed employee confronted Stine and ordered him to pay for the soda. When Stine left the restaurant instead, the employee followed, and told him that he was no longer welcome at that Arby’s.
Yeah, what most people think of as caramelized onions on like a burger or steak are just sauteed onions.
Probably made a huge batch and let them sit in a pan all day. Those get slimy.
I always thought that Scarlett Johansson would make an excellent Mulan...
You liked well done steak and hate runny eggs? How the fuck are you a food columnist? This shit should be part of the interview process.
