I never wear makeup and didn’t have any pictures with it so I’m not sure how it would effect mine. It does seem like the typical “selfie angle” - from above, head tilted down, slightly turned - was generally scored as younger than my real age while any picture that was face-on and flat scored much older. Only candids…

Yeah, pretty much. From what I remember of The Muppet Show, she was always the butt of the jokes. You know, like a female character handled by men in the 70’s with absolutely no female voice involved in her creation.

I’ve answered this at least twice now but the award isn’t just an award “for feminists”. It’s an award intended to go to female trailblazers - women who were the first in their fields. Jim Henson is not a woman. Miss Piggy has been controlled and voiced by men her entire existence. She isn’t a female trailblazer.

The award isn’t for feminists. The award is for female trailblazers. If it was an award just for feminists I wouldn’t disagree with giving it to Jim Henson or any other man for that matter. It’s an award for women who were the first in their fields. Jim Henson shouldn’t qualify.

If this were an award that was for empowering female icons rather than female trailblazers I would definitely agree that Miss Piggy is deserving. But it’s not a way to recognize icons, it’s supposed to be for women who have notable accomplished something. A fictional character cannot accomplish anything herself though…
