Bah, people can suck it. And yeah, I'm leaning towards Sinclair Theodore because of the rhyming, but I still like Sinclair Astaire. XD

As both a history nerd and a comic book nerd, I approve so very much.

Between Florence Welsh and Florence Nightingale, it seems to be impossible to assign a negative connotation to it.

I think it's the history major in me, but I love old fashioned sounding names. I like Arlington for that and it's still pretty original without being "wacky". And I like "Arlo" as a nickname for it because of Matthew Weiner's adorably dapper son.

If I have a daughter, her name will be Arlington Florence (first and middle name) and if I have a son, his name will either be Matthias James or Sinclair Astaire.

BACHMANN FLIP FLOPS, DECLARES WAR ON SWITZERLAND

Ok, a women prez with awesome gender laws? Ok, if Obama doesn't get reelected I might just move to Argentina. I really like Argentine Tango, so I could totes use the opportunity to improve.

Which is why I play it on my iPad.

Oh, I unfriended the twins in question. Fortunately I've never been friends with that other jerk.

Literally my reaction.

My close-minded neighbors with this sort of thinking make me ashamed to be a North Carolinian, but my President makes me proud to be an American.

Ah yes. I'm quite certain that any of their family members that might be gay are probably so far in the closet that they're frolicking with Aslan and the Pevensies in Narnia.

On that note, check out this update. It was all I could do to not to tell this guy to not bother replying unless he could use correct grammar and spelling and that as a fully grown man he ought to know how to use spellcheck and make the extra effort to type "you" instead of "u".

Ugh, there are these awful political commercials here for some conservative candidate saying that he stands for "faith, family, and values". I'm like, hello, gay people have faith, family, and values too! And unlike shitty people like him, they don't try to undermine the faith, family, and values of other people based

These two are very sheltered twins who grew up in a fundamentalist Baptist church and highly doubt they know any gay people, much less are friends with them. The girl was married at 19 and now (at 20) has a baby. the boy is currently in school to become a preacher. That should give you an idea of why they'd use scare

I would have laughed if it wasn't so awful. People like him are why that awful amendment passed.

I didn't let the argument go far. I'm in school to be a history teacher and he's in school to be a preacher. It would have gotten ridiculous. I highly doubt anything I say would change his very small mind.

For the lols, check out this argument I got into on facebook. My mom actually tried to set me up with this asswipe. Can't wait to move out of this fucking state. And please excuse my typos- I'm rather distraught.

Sounds like my family reunions.

I dunno, I'm in a pretty redneck area right outside of Charlotte, and I'm sure the nuanced differences between the two are lost on the redneck relatives that I grew up with, who think there's something wrong with me for reading so much. Good to know there's a difference, though. You learn something new every day. XD
