I didn't let the argument go far. I'm in school to be a history teacher and he's in school to be a preacher. It would have gotten ridiculous. I highly doubt anything I say would change his very small mind.

Sounds like my family reunions.
I dunno, I'm in a pretty redneck area right outside of Charlotte, and I'm sure the nuanced differences between the two are lost on the redneck relatives that I grew up with, who think there's something wrong with me for reading so much. Good to know there's a difference, though. You learn something new every day. XD
Yes. A lot of people in my area use "Triad" and "Triangle" interchangeably for that area.
Yep. The Triad in general, really, because all the SCIENCE.
That's moreso the Chapel Hill area than Charlotte, though.
Charlotte is only about 50% white. The other 50% is black, but mostly Hispanic. According to the latest census, we've had the largest Hispanic population boom in the country in the last decade. If you go out to the rich areas, yeah you'll find mostly white people (but isn't that the same pretty much anywhere else in…
If you're using an SD card in the Nook, that's why you haven't experienced limitations- it applies only to the Nook's included memory. And I am considering rooting one, though my Kindle 3 still serves me perfectly well.
There was some post on tumblr asking what people would bring with them if they ever were stuck in Westeros (from Game of Thrones) for a month. The first thing on my list was my fully-charged Kindle. It would last that long on one charge and even not be that obtrusive as I have a parchment skin on it and a tooled…
An SD card slot isn't an issue for me since I doubt I'll ever fill the 4GB up and I don't listen to audio books. I just wish the Nook didn't restrict sideloaded content as almost all of my content is sideloaded DRM-free material.
I wish they didn't have that stupid limit on sideloaded content. Most of my content is sideloaded so I won't be locked into a format and can easily switch devices. The catch-22 is that the only other ereader worth switching to (I have a Kindle) is a Nook, which has those stupid limits. Bah.
Honey, that would be the prostate, which women do not have. And yes, the clitoris stems from the penis. I never denied that. But that's not what this article was about.
Fate? God works in mysterious ways?
Pssh, clearly the Earth is a big Game of Thrones fan and was just celebrating the new season appropriately.
The problem with that is that there is little or no public transit in most areas of the U.S. and being able to drive is necessary at a younger age. I needed to be able to drive at 16/17 so I could drive to my part-time job. If I relied of my parents for transportation, I wouldn't have been able to have a part-time job…
Omigod that kid is adorable. She's like.. a Powerpuff Girl. I'm not trying to be mean and inappropriate here, but that's seriously what she reminds me of. I think they even mentioned on an episode how the hell they wrote with no fingers. She's like a real life Powerpuff Girl. Way to go, little adorable superhero girl!
Seriously. If he picked Condi, perhaps I won't move to Canada if Obama doesn't get re-elected. I actually like Condi quite a bit and hope she eventually runs for President herself. She may be a Republican, but from what I hear, she's actually pretty moderate.
Well I probably understand a lot more than you, given that I actually have one and use it regularly. And the point of the article was to talk about how the clitoris is in fact not a small button but like the Tardis, is much bigger on the inside. It's why penetrative sex feels so good because the clitoris actually…
You should check out Tom and Lorenzo's excellent series of posts on the fashion of Mad Men. They have some really good insight as to why the characters are dressed the way they are, including Dawn.
