If you're using non-DRMed ebooks, Calibre will convert between pretty much any format.

Format is a non-issue for me. I get my ebooks from non-Amazon/B&N sources with no DRM, so it's crazy easy for me to convert between formats via Calibre based upon my preferred hardware.
Agreed. I have a 3G K3, and I don't plan on updating for two reasons: I can't afford internet on my phone, so it's nice to have the free internet in case of emergencies (It's not the fastest in the world, but it's great for email and checking blogs, etc.). Also, I like having page turn buttons on the side. I have an…
The books don't have ads in them. The homescreen and screensaver have ads in them. Big difference.
Well it makes my students' spelling atrocious.
Would it kill the text video makers to spell out 'cause instead of "coz"? "Coz" is not a word. Ew. Apostrophes, people- use them.
See I have a nice leather cover on my Kindle that makes it feel like an old book, so I doubt that I would feel much of a weight difference given that my cover accounts for most of my Kindle's weight (which is still lighter than the hardcopy versions of most fo the books that I read).
I have no intention of switching from my K3 because of the free 3G issue. I like having back-up access to the internet on it (I can't afford internet on my phone) and I don't particularly care for touchscreens on ereaders. I'm perfectly satisfied with the keyboard and its navigation system as it is right now.
Well part of it is the apps and movies that I already own. Books and music aren't an issue, since I still plan to use my iPod touch (and I don't buy most of my music through iTunes anyway), and I rarely ever buy ebooks from Amazon or Apple, so I can use my preexisting library on just about any device. What's really…
On that note, I wonder how much it costs them to make the Fire. Major props to Amazon for changing both the tablet and ereader market in another significant way by driving prices down. B&N and Kobo had to do the same with their ereaders to keep up. If the Fire ends up being a huge success to the point of cutting into…
*sigh*
It's funny, though, how I rarely actually buy any books for my Kindle. Epubbud.com + Calibre = I don't buy books very often now. I don't feel too bad about it, though, given my massive library from my pre-Kindle days. The publishing industry has gotten a lifetime's worth of money from me already.
Which goes back to my point about him being a terrible role model. XD
Showtime doesn't count as network I suppose. *sigh*
Here, have some penguin porn courtesy of my trip to the New England Aquarium. I was taking pictures of the penguins and it wasn't until after I had taken the pictures that I realized what exactly I was taking pictures of. By the way, penguins are screamers. It was their mating season while I was at the aquarium…
Ah, thank you, Gawker Media, for providing me with not one, but two opportunities to embarrass my best friend online.
At least it's in a non-obnoxious location.
Well helllloooo, Jonathan. *says the girl who also recently turned 21 so she isn't creepy wanting into his pants at all*
Does anyone else think of this episode of Family Guy when they see the Jolie-Pitts? #notmeaningtobeoffensive #justanobservation
Oh God, I'm going to have nightmares tonight.
