I was a little of both, actually. I got a little skeeved out by the weird looks my best friend and I were getting (I mean hey, we were a couple of fourteen year old girls on our own at a comic con- a weird sight, right?), but totally oblivious to the pervy looks. I was so young and innocent back then.

False. Just like there are male geeks that are totally geeky, but have social skills and can pass as "normal" in non-geeky company, there are female geeks just like that. And then just like there are all varieties of male geeks, the same goes for female geeks.

There's always a few of them. Also, there's the young teenage girls going to their first comic con and are either totally oblivious to the creepers creepin' on them or are all too aware of this unfortunate fact. That was me about six or seven years ago.

Newsboy hat.

Make that guy/girl. I've been putting off letting my 13-year-old sister come with me just for that reason.

They forgot the normal geek girl (usually wearing some sort of nerdy t-shirt) there to stock up on cheap comics and have fun, while trying not to get creeped out by the portion of guys there that are socially-awkward to the point of being creepy towards the female minority.

I'm Marilyn Monroe this year. Sexy, but classy sexy.

So girls with bigger aureolas are better baby feeders then? I feel slightly better now.

My bumpy things sometimes itch a lot. Does that happen to anyone else?

Truth. I'm not going to fall in love with a guy on looks alone, and a guy can be gorgeous, but if he's a jerk I wouldn't want anything to do with him. A guy has to be physically attractive to me AND have the personality to back it up.

And the award for best Roald Dahl reference goes to...

Agreed. Though I care about the physical attractiveness of a potential partner, I wouldn't say that I'm only attracted to a specific "type". I don't care if a guy is ripped or a little pudgy, and while there are some colorings and ethnicities that I'm more attracted to than others, that doesn't really limit who I

I though they just oozed out Axe body spray.

Seriously. Women probably care about looks just as much as men do. While being physically attracted to a guy doesn't guarantee that he's for me, it's hard for me to be romantically interested in a guy if I don't find him physically attractive.

So I can take heart in that the attraction I have for the guy I'm crushing on is not clouded by BC hormones (I've been too lazy to stay on my pill when I'm not getting laid).

I hope they get this sentence overturned- 90 lashes could kill her. It seems kind of irresponsible for the Australians that made this film not to ensure this woman any kind of protection.

Exactly, and also, Morgan Freeman doesn't have enough nerd cred to host a Steve Jobs tribute. His voice is great, but he's no Adam and Jamie. It's like they've spent their lives racking up the nerd cred necessary to host this thing.

Well done, DC, well done. I can't think of anyone better to host such a thing.

No, you're not a bad parent. I don't have kids, but the article just made me think of the smaller Legos first. It probably would be a good idea on their part to clarify exactly what kind of Legos they were using, since most people think of the small ones first.
