You don't calculate people 'dead' until you actually confirm it or at least try to find them. They are still considered 'missing', that's out of respect for people still searching for their loved ones.

WTF is up with Giz recently, this is a suppose to be a site for savvy tech consumers.

Giz better watch out, China will copy Gawker's awesome new layout...

Obviously you are trolling and have absolutely no clue what you are talking about but...

Only thing that is reflected of the mirror is the bare minimum necessary for phase-detection AF. Old pellicle mirror systems had to have enough light for pentaprism, but being that we have EVF and live-view we don't need that any more.

This isn't much of a rip-off. This cellphone game is a a text-based game more like Mafia Wars, and is nothing like Inazuma Eleven, which plays like Blitzball in Final Fantasy X (which in itself is a ripoff of the old Captain Tsubasa games).

There are two parts of vertical integration; the hardware and the software.

I was referring to the vertical integration from the supply chain side the manufacturing side which determines the cost it takes to make.

Yeah I meant "honeycomb', sue me for forgetting the sweets nonmenclature that Google uses...

Samsung, which makes an iPad competitor, is significantly more vertically integrated than Apple. They make ARM processors, LCD/OLED screens, batteries, NAND flash memory- you name it. In fact, Apple's A4 is fabricated by Samsung, and Apple frequently uses their memory, and completely owns the entire supply-chain

A modern CMOS sensor has a clock speed, the faster the clock-speed the larger data it can pull off sensor. There is very little use for anything more than passive cooling for still-photography (since it only captures an image for a fraction of a second). The real use for this would be for video and high-fps image

Yikes. Youtube is already filled with cam-whores lip syncing rap-songs, that was just painful to watch.

Basically it makes everything outside of Apple's own service completely uncompetitive.

The major hurdle for this is how to calculate royalty-cut for Microsoft/Sony.

The Digital Journal has a pretty good op-ed piece about this news:

@FrankenPC: Or make it like Steam and buy the PS3 version get the NGP free. Or at least bundled with the "Premium/Collector's edition" of the game.

Well, not much use spending all that energy in a quad-CPU, quad-GPU graphics if all you're looking at is the back on your fingers and hand...

@tomcat1483: because its completely carbon fiber monocoque body, which is why its weighs so little. Weight and aerodynamics are the major reason it gets good mileage.
