@CABEZAGRANDE: Are we really comparing an old Esprit that made 350hp to a 612hp car?

""Ditching Toyota power is clearly one of the upsides of the new, more complicated Lotus."

¥25,000 for the 3DS is inline with historical pricing in Japan, its merely that the yen has spiked in value since this recession.

@Jono: The S70 and S70/2 are totally different engines, Gordan Murray rejected the original S70 designs (S70B56, S70/1) because it was too heavy for the McLaren as it was originally designed for the 8-series. His original spec required the engine to be 250 kgs.

Much like the 'Busa engine has become some insane V-8s, here's hoping some entrepreneurial lunatic makes a V-12 out of these BMWs for the fun of it. It could be a mini-Mclaren F1 (a vehicle powered essentially by a bespoke solution using two BMW I6s S50B30 put together).

So this is like Xbox 360 controller "Elite". I guess its a good way for MS to make money.

@krypterband: The Mustang is "assembled" in America. Its not 100% percent American. Nowhere near that.

@Mirageowner: US automotive manufacturing is alive and well, its just that its not the Big 3 that are making cars here.

@fryhole: I have the Maximum PC article in front of me here. Its a complete joke, it misses the point entirely.
