Seriously, I probably saw this ad a million times but totally didn't realize it until people started whining about it. I blocked it out and looking at it again I get why, its a standard boring ad. Also Jalopnik ripped this story off of some car forums (CarLounge).

Unfortunately, it looks like another econocar. GM has been touting this vehicle as something unique, a trophy of the company's technical achievements. The concept had the looks to accompany that message and differentiate itself from the rest of the hybrids. The production Volt doesn't.
