I didn’t say it couldn’t be done, only that there are very real problems in making it last 100k miles. I hope they figure it out, it would awesome. Turbos used to be exotic, now they’re commonplace. All of these are just problems that need to be solved.

Not in a production vehicle. A one off that can be rebuilt periodically is one thing, but making a flat plane LS last 100k+ miles is very different. The added vibration takes a toll on everything. Read the Mototrend article, they have a good writeup on the issues with it.

When I was 13 I saw Ray Mancini kill DUk Koo-Kim live on TV. I haven’t watched a single boxing (or MMA) bout since. Yet I still watch college and NFL football all the time. I cannot justify it, it just is what it is.

UFC fignts are done at 3 months intervals which gives fighters time to recuperate. NFL players played week in week out. And players dont really sound off any head injuries they had during games and shook it off with painkillers. This aggravated their head injuries further in the next match and so on.

Landlord has to charge high rates because they are taxed too much for the property. Its the landlords who have to pay the local and state property/school taxes, and its reflected, passed along, to the renter in forms of higher rent.

I’m renting a 3 bedroom apartment with a garage for just under 1,000 a month, and I make 50K. I could easily buy a 3 or 4 bedroom house.

Which is exactly why nationwide minimum wages don’t make much sense. Down here in Houston I was able to buy a 5 bedroom 3ksq ft house on a $50k salary. Seems they haven’t figured out different areas have different markets...
