In boxing and MMA a ref is allowed to poll other officials who are ringside. In this case John Mccarthy was polled by Dan Miragliotta about if the strikes were legal. The fight should never have been stopped but because it was Miragliotta used a totally legal aid in determining that said strikes were legal. Then it

You’re so full of it. We know exactly what caused the argument because she said it. She said it’s his job to have a charger and that he told her “nope” when she asked for one. She said that’s why she’s upset. And if you get into a cab or an Uber or go into any place of business in American and you think that you’re

What did he say that was sexist?

Seems to me like she earned every foul word he said about her.

In high school I could fit a baritone sax, mower, blower and line trimmer in the trunk with the rear seats folded down. Still had plenty if room for more stuff and a passenger if necessary. To this day I regret selling that car. But at the time I couldn’t afford a second car and spending the value of the car on a new

If we take Dallas as a model then those costs are nil unless you work downtown. They have effectively replaced a car with uber and it is am expensive proposition. 30 bucks a day for your commute is quite expensive. And yet some people do this. Obviously in cities like NYC and San Francisco the calculations for travel

Well the money has to come from somewhere. If they don’t generate revenues commensurate with their pay then how does the women’s national soccer team stay solvent?

My mom drove a civic wagovan. My dad drove a 92 integra until he gave it to me. I’m a halfway decent person. We did 4 person road trips and played sports and all of that. Practicality is all relative I suppose. Oh and my mom had and Olds after the wagovan gave up the ghost.

I totally agree with everything you’ve said. The people I’ve met (I don’t know them, I’ve met them while driving Uber in Dallas) are typically either single and live closer to downtown or they are married/living with someone who does have a car. The people in the latter category are just using Uber to and from work.

I can see this happening in certain places. That would be super unfortunate. More likely though is that Uber simply leaves the market until people come to their senses. Which could be never.

I know for a fact that some people are using Uber instead of owning a car. However your point that the numbers don’t support the claim certainly has more meaning than my anecdotal evidence.

I’m part time. I wouldn’t mind a union as long as Uber doesn’t depart the city over it. If they stick around and the Unions try to play hard ball I will gladly take their fares while they’re bitching about not making enough money. I’m also in Texas so I don’t think this is a legitimate concern here. Maybe things are

I want Uber drivers to unionize. Because I am an Uber driver and a strike by the masses is good for my bottom line. While they’re protesting I’m making more money because of decreased supply. Yes that’s a bit “special” and I’m okay with that.

Before I was aware of this site my only exposure to him was a local radio station (The Ticket in Dallas) needling him during super bowl week. I think they were walking around with a remote mic and interviewed him for a minute or two a couple of years in a row. Now he refuses to be anywhere near them because he said

Nobody fucks with the Jesus.

This is precisely why he has yet to be moved. They are asking the moon for him. The Rangers have the capital and the desire to acquire him and they seemingly bowed out of the negotiations a week after everyone said they were in negotiations. They also know that if they don’t get that massive haul then he can be a

Jalopnik has plenty of news. Deadspin sometimes has news. But ya it’s mostly just a tabloid. A former editor of Deadspin actually referred to it as a tabloid on national TV. So ya this is pretty much the kind of stuff I expect when I come here.

Well I really wish Wahlberg wouldn’t make shitty movies about every single national tragedy. That’s a discussion that I think is worth having much more than one about what music this girl skates to because Marky Mark is making a killing off the pain and suffering of others. Nobody gives a shit about figure skating so

That is pretty uncool.

You can do whatever the driver allows you to do. Their car, their rules. Personally I would be okay with someone installing their car seat. I’d much prefer taking the time to do that than them leaving their child in their lap while I drive (it’s super unsafe to do this no matter how good/attentive the driver is). As
