Oh, I fully recognize that these students could shit on a blank piece of paper and turn it in as a final and a professor that gives them any less than a B would be fired. I just also recognize that the people with the money to send their kids there are people with power and influence.

That is fair, there’s no excuse to not run the lecture by an African-American member of the faculty.

In any other context, I’d side with the kids. But Princeton is supposed to be where the social and intellectual elite is educated and prepared for the burden of leading the world and this was literally a class about hate speech. If this isn’t the class to discuss challenging and controversial issues, uh, what is?

Friendly reminder that Chinese Food (as opposed to Chinese food) has a longer American history than the fudging hamburger. To hold its lack of “authenticity” against it makes as much sense as, well, holding a lack of authenticity against the similarly misleadingly named “Hamburg-er”.

Literally all I need it to do is not make dumb quips apologizing for itself in every single scene (hello, Thor Ragnarok), and I’ll be satisfied

He sounds like a real creep and a weirdo.

Every single parent in there had had the same thought. If only they gave me five minutes alone with that guy. That’s why there was laughter, it was recognition of a feeling none of them had dared to vocalize in the court but had all had.

You are absolutely wrong. They’re upset and scared in the clip because they don’t know what the fuck is happening, it’s an incredibly emotionally raw situation in the first place, and for all they know their dad might get arrested. Right now, your argument is “they didn’t like the haunted house, because in the clip

A real ssshole.

That’s literally the most ironic thing I’ve ever heard.

Sure it does. [Later on] in his life, he hopes he can speak about her without negativity and accentuate the positive of their time together. But right now, he wishes she’d die. He wishes they’d both die.

1. Take $500,000 that Mo’Nique doesn’t want

Why aren’t you asking “Why didn’t Aansari stop when she told him to?”

But Luke never read the Jedi books!

We’re talking about the girl who impresses Han Solo SO MUCH the first time she’s on his ship that he makes her CO-CAPTAIN within an hour of meeting her, right?

“Constantly saying no” in this case meaning “non-verbal cues” and “blowing him”. Not defending Anzari, but she herself points this out.

I mean, your second paragraph kinda illustrates some of the points of your first paragraph. Why don’t people want to discuss this on un-sourced kneejerk reaction land, but also I think Jack Kerouac was a bad person because I think he looks creepy.

Oh, cool. Please list the most common Swedish racial slurs and insults and we’ll compare notes. I would certainly guess that associations with being from/going back to “the jungle” would rank above calling someone a monkey or a derivative thereof, but perhaps your own research shows differently.

I’m sorry to hear that, but it doesn’t surprise me. I grew up in a very diverse town, but also saw backlash against it. There are backwards people everywhere, though I would’ve hoped people in Stockholm (especially ones operating a business) would’ve been more accustomed to diversity. As someone with a legit interest
