So excited for this. Warframe is the one game model other developers/publishers should be looking at. This how to do FTP and how to do games as a service. Produce quality content without shoving transactional content in everyone’s face and people want to support you.

Just read an interview on Gamespot with Larian. That's actually a nautiloid one of their spelljamming ships. I remember reading spelljamming was going to make a return to 5e in some way. This could be part of it.

Absolute shot in the dark but betting this will involve the whole Illithid adversary thing. Where an illithid larvae consumes a host and takes on their mind in entirety. Essentially the host in an Illithid body. MC gains psionic abilities as the story progresses.

That's the outcome to hope for imo. New Tactical RPG using 5e rules set in Forgotten Realms.

So the villian appears to be an Illithid? Interesting at first I thought he was changing into a Slayer and groaned at more Bhallspawn. Hoping this is a loose continuation with new characters and not a direct sequel..

Really excited for this. BG2 is my alltime favorite RPG. Love D:OS and D:OS2. Lyrian seems like the best possible studio for a D&D rpg. However hoping this isn’t necessarily a direct sequel. 2 was pretty climatic..

Performance improvements from an SSD would be nice. But my concern would be the capacity. I have trouble seeing them go beyond 500gb with an SSD, that seems to be the current sweet spot for SSD per gb cost. 500gb isn’t enough, it wasn’t enough back when the PS4 launched.

Really doubting they will be able to do native 4k. They’ll upscale to 4k and market it as playing 4k, sure. But considering current top of the line hardware still struggles to consistently hit 60fps at 4k, no way are they going to fit this in a box for less than a 1000$. 2k Native might be a possibility.

I’m guessing this will be a point and click? That’s usually Daedalic’s forte, or atleast all I’ve known them for.

Didn’t realize these got so cheap. I remeber paying 250$ for my Samsung Evo 500gb, and nearly 300$ for the 120gb vector3 before that..

There's a lot of Portuguese descent in Southeast Massachusetts. Myself included. Linguica sausage is a very common pizza topping here. Could have of that maybe.

I’m hopefull they have some immersive server toggles/mechanics. Like players outside of your gang not showing up on the map like in GTA online. Or player characters having no indication that their different from NPCs beyond their behavior.

How does this compare to other long board games? Part of the draw for BAHOH is that’s relatively quick as opposed to a game like Arkham Horror which can go upward to 8-16 hour games. Most not being played to conclusion.

Eh not a fan of this personally. Blizzard is awful when it comes to retcons. Retcons make sense if their done to tell a better story. Blizzard retcons however are typically because Blizzard doesn’t know or forgets it’s own damn lore.

Ok serious question, has an acquisition of an independent studio by a major publisher ever ended off well with the studio? I'm curious if I may be filtering this by a negative bias but I'm seriously having trouble thinking of a studio that's quality has notably improved after an acquisition. Yet I can recall many that

I can’t agree with this. I think SP and MP can offer different sets of experiences. Also just because multiple games are designated survival games they can still offer a totally different feel. Ark and the Forest for example ones narratively heavy and much more smaller scale/personal, the other is far larger more

Ooh I have a few of these.

Oh man I remember this. This was during Black and White 2 release hype zenith. So Lionhead news being forefront in PC gaming media at the time this got a bit of coverage. The game was pretty bad tbh..

This was my guess. They showed intent when they did the survival update back during the Ark/Rust hype.

I saw this issue last Gen but this gen it’s far less pronounced imo.
