Oh man my inner Horde pride back from Vanilla WoW is resurfacing..
It depends on the Free To Play model. If you look at games like Warframe or Planetside. You freely have access to everything in the game. The cash shop is only if you wish to acquire something right away rather than gain experience for it in game or for cosmetic items.
Then there's the Buy to Play model that Guildwars…
Star Citizen is not P2P. It's B2P. You pay for the game and that's that. No Subscription. Same with Garriotts "Shroud of the Avatar". It's the same way Guild Wars and Guild Wars 2 runs.
The only new games I know of that are going to have subs are WildStar and TESO.
The problem with the P2P model is that it's no longer…
Eve is niche and no way near the scale this game is trying to reach. Eve can prosper with a few hundred thousand subscribers. Eve caters to a niche crowd. It's customers don't really have anywhere else to go to repeat the experience so it's perfectly fine as it is.
This game can't. And it's not targeting a niche crowd.…
Is this news? Didn't they say this a dozen times now? Games running their own networking infrastructure won't require PS+. Pretty much anything that operates on it's own set of persistent servers.
Nintendo won't ever do this. At least not in a sense that they port full games to other platforms. Maybe a crossover sub game like they did with the few select sub games featuring Mario on PC. ( Mario Teaches typing anyone?)
Nintendo's entire business revolves around being first party. What do you buy to play Nintendo…
Oh Don't Starve, I've lost countless hours to this game. It's always something. "Oh it's the next day, time to go gather x and y before winter. Uho now I need x from y.. WEREBEAVER MURDER RAMPAGE!! Back to gathering x and y."
Hugely looking forward to Star Citizen as well.
Although don't expect huge battles like this when instances are going to be capped at around 50 ships.
Although with you actually piloting your ship in a first person cockpit in SC, I have a feeling that's going to be more than enough.
I don't understand it. If your a big enough fan of the series you shouldn't care what platform it's on. You can get a 2ds for 120$!
YEEEEEEEESSSSS
Well you are Zues.. Shouldn't you know this stuff already?
Soo the Last of Us and Bastion? Did I get it right?
I can't agree with this. This might be true for a minority of penny pinchers that will ONLY buy something if it's on sale.
I got mine on Day 1 too. Although I sold the original Aqua Blue one to a buddy when I bought the blue Fire Emblem one. Blue with dragons on it, I just had to get it..
Personally I think the original 3DS has a better build quality than the XL. But that's me.
I may get an XL if they release the special edition one for…
Movie I wouldn't do. But like an animatronic amusement park ride? Hell yeah.
Do something like Splash Mountain at Disney world. But have people travel through Rapture in a bathysphere with all kinds of creepy stuff with splicers crawling up walls and big daddies. Then big finally down a giant watery drop.
Like the…
I have Y. So I guess this means my pokemans are slightly more valuable on GTS?
Part of the issue is Star Trek as a franchise is in sort of a lull at the moment. There isn't a tv series currently airing. What was the last one? Enterprise? That ended airing nearly a decade ago. STO was a flop. The only coverage it's been getting have been the newer movies.
Because it's an existing franchise with licenses and copyrighted material. Any other developer can't just make a game about what ever they want on existing material. They have to get the rights. Even then there's stipulations as to what they can actually do with it.
It's easier to create something based on new…
