The only advantage I can see with tape is that it is basically future-proof. Cassette tapes are large, physical storage media and will (likely) never suffer from computer technology obsolescence - a tape player will always play a tape, no matter what. No software, no codecs, no searching through lost HDD archives.

Love it!
