“I’m like who’s there? And somebody answers me. He’s like ‘oh my name is Drew.’

There was an episode of Criminal that was like this only he was in the attic and would come down when the woman was out at work. Her dog didn’t bark because he’d been there since the dog was a puppy so the pup was used to him!!!!

I read somewhere else that the windows had been left unlocked.  But I also have left windows unlocked many times and have never had random dudes in my closet.

She OPENED the closet after hearing some random dude admit he was in there.  I, 100% seriously, would have run screaming out of the building.

One of my coworkers had this happen with her landlord. He wanted her out because she complained too much (about the possum in the basement laundry who caused the entire building to be crawling with fleas, as I recall). So he creepy-crawled her, and then denied it. She couldn’t prove it, and the police didn’t take her

Perhaps he is mentally ill. That doesn’t make what he did any less wrong or any less terrifying! There are plenty of people with mental illnesses (myself included) who don’t go around hiding in people’s closets, potentially for months. People with mental illnesses can still be held responsible for their actions,

How is this exploiting a mentally ill person? What he did was terrifying and the news is being reported about it. If I ever found a person in my closet who was wearing my clothes, the least of my concerns would be that person’s well-being. Maybe that’s a discussion for later, but not now.

This is creepy as hell.

That guy was obviously drunk and on drugs. What if this guy is just mentally ill? Is everyone cool with exploiting a mentally ill person, if that’s the case?

There’s actually more to this story that is arguably as much or more fucked up and unrelated to this dude. First, to set the tone, the police say they can’t find any evidence of forced entry for this guy. And last year she came home to find two strangers in her living room.... College housing is always a bit of a

Holy shit. I am truly disturbed by the number of comments by people who’ve had experiences like this. It’s so common!

She hears a voice from her closet and SHE OPENS THE DOOR?!??

Does anyone remember that movie from the 70's where a family moves out (or dies?) and another family moves in and the son of the previous owner carves out a space for himself under the stairs and drills holes in the wall to spy on the new family -- especially the daughters -- and then a nosy neighbor notices something

Something similar happened to me as a kid. Almost 30 years later and my closets don’t have doors and I don’t leave the shower curtain all the way closed when I’m not showering.

Maddie is way braver than me - there’s no way I would have time to take a picture of closet creep before dissolving into a pile of screams.

Some bigot somewhere wants me to be afraid of trans women coming into the ladies room whereas I fear regular dudes all the time because they’re creepy everywhere.

OMG! This is very similar to one of Jezebels recent annual Scary Stories Contest. I can’t remember if it was this year or within the last couple. Still freaks the living daylights outta me!

Meanwhile I have zero regrets for my full length George Foreman Grill back tattoo.

The Internet will never forget.

Best move? Own it. Roll with it. She should sponsor a popular brand of portable grill, kick in endorsements, the whole shebang, a la George Foreman. Call it “Ariana Grillde” or something just as silly. Watch it sell like hotcakes.
