What I think happened at Ubisoft-

On one hand. I think some of the backlash is too much. “Punch in the gut” cause your character had a baby and got into a relationship is too much. Its not that serious.

I don’t get why this is a problem for devs nowadays....its not like relationships are a new thing and yet they almost continually write these things like they are as pure as the driven snow.

I wish there was a condition that stopped me from being able to read men’s comments on mainstream news websites. 

I’m diagnosing myself with this right fucking now. My husband can’t complain since he only hears me about half the time anyway.

Don’t romanticize this too much. There’s a big chance she can still hear Jared Kushner’s voice. 

Pro Tip: You don’t actually HAVE to be suffering from low-frequency hearing loss in order to not hear men’s voices. Just ignore them. When they wave their arms frantically at you, just say “Oh, I’m sorry, I didn’t hear you! I have low-frequency hearing loss.”

I got shingles in my ear a few years ago, and that fucked with my ability to hear lower sound registers. It make music sound weird but did not, unfortunately, block out the yammering of man. Quel dommage.
