I think there are several issues. Most have been covered but my issue is the fact that they really shy away from his sexuality. He doesn’t get to bone! Tragedy! Disabled people and people with SCI are having sex just like everyone else.

The whole don’t drink if your trying thing can be difficult for many women as well. I tried for over a year and the later part was gut wrenching and emotionally exhausting. It’s not like poof you go off BC and you get pregnant. I know friends who have tried for two or three years. It’s unrealistic to expect them to

Yeah who cares if it's been practiced for thousands of years in Chinese medicine or whatever. It's just gross. All traditional medicine must be proven by our western scientists. Duh.

I'm a bit late to the party but yeah this story makes me a tad sad for both of them. I was bullied in middle and early high school by a girl. Years later we started hanging out mostly because we had a mutual best friend. We have talked about the bullying a lot and one thing has stuck out to me. The experience stuck

How would we feel about this woman if she was having an abortion because the child she was carrying was a girl?

I think there are definitely strong tones of ablism in this article. For some reason people find it OK to suggest that "so many mistreated babies and kids with Downs live terrible lives." Where are you getting this information? Why is this any different then any other able bodied child? Lots of kids leave terrible

The article says six months which may or may not be viability. Babes can survive out of the womb around this point.

I once read that to non English speakers they found the sound of the word diarrhea to be very beautiful, so we may use that as an alternative. Or Krist. Cause either one would be great.

As someone who is due in August, I really want to know the baby name, primarily to ensure that my child does not have the same name. I literally had a nightmare in which Kim stole my baby name.

I discussed it before moving in with my husband. He proposed 6 months later. It was right for us. I was 25 but he was 33. I think its good to put your expectations out there and stick by them. If you really do want to get married and have kids, I would NEVER move in with a man without talking about this prior.

I am in the same boat. I think this discounts the intelligence and depth of many men.

Umm Thanks world.

You poor thing. I don't know your situation but generally things ease up senior year. In my experience anyway, college is a lot easier. Go to a good liberal arts school if that's what your into. And then don't go to law school. That shit was real hard.

They can pick up a heartbeat at 6 weeks with a transvaginal ultrasound.

What? That is crazy. Plus interracial babies are the cutest.

This is crazy!! It essentially bans abortion entirely since you can get a fetal heartbeat as early as 2 weeks after a missed period. We saw ours when I was just exactly 6 weeks pregnant. That's super early folks.

Yeah, all infertile women are just uptight.

I met MacKinnon a few years ago when I was a law student. She is an interesting woman to say the least. She considers a lot of things rape that most people wouldn't such as the situation where one partner wants to have sex and the other say wants to watch Law and Order and says what the hey I can put it on pause.

I hope she got a HUGE settlement!! This is despicable and just so so sad.

This is what I was thinking exactly. I know of several couples who are not evangelical who have done frozen embryo transfer with donor embryos because of fertility issues. Yes, there are folks that do it for religious people but there are plenty of people who don't.
