It's an excellent policy and I agree that's what a good employee should do. But as I said to @ckilburn the registers may not be actual computers, and may not be internet-capable. In that case how is he supposed to check the price?

I know, it sounds stupid. I agree that I don't see why they couldn't just look it up. But are the registers even full-fledged computers? Are they internet enabled? Never worked in retail so I don't know.

Better netbooks are a stupid idea. Get off your oh-so-high-and-mighty attitude and grow up. I've used a netbook. It's stupid. It sucks. I hate typing on it. I hate navigating web pages. I hate the tiny one square inch touchpad they give you. I hate the one hour battery life.

That sounds awesome, seeing as my entire day is spent within range of Wi-Fi hotspots.
