i’m not a coffee person (if i can’t have a stout with breakfast i’ll settle for a seltzer), but the number of people who went to chains for breakfast in nyc always baffled me when every corner deli/bodega/etc will make you a way better breakfast sandwich and sell you a cheaper coffee. 

i agree with your general sentiment, but that banana example is not helping your case.

i was coming to say that there’s nothing about teeny tiny foods that makes them appealing, but then i realized that i like baby vegetables so maybe i’m a bit of a hypocrite.
