@qrius: They effectively shot down the idea of ever doing a touchscreen on a laptop. Steve said the ergonomics of a vertically oriented touch screen were horrible.

@Mactopia: What part specifically?

Nice, live.gizmodo.com is down

@Daniel Rappaport: I'm at work, where there are no Macs. I am on the verge of buying an iMac, but being left out of the party because I'm on a PC makes me less inclined to buy a Mac.

Apple's stream site says the following: "Streaming video requires Safari 4 or 5 on Mac OS X Snow Leopard or Safari on iOS 3 or later."

This just in! Google is the least of your security problems if you are transmitting sensitive information over an unsecured wifi network!

I think I'll just buy an iPad, root my Incredible and use the 3G data plan I already pay for to wifi tether.

I seriously doubt that this will even make it to court. For libel or defamation lawsuits, the statements made have to be made as though they are fact and have to be verifiable. Saying he probably looks at himself in the mirror a lot is a statement of probability, something you can't prove either way.

@superfluousK: If only they had full episodes of all their shows, such as The Mentalist...

I loved my Nokia 3390, my first cell phone. I held out until 2001, when halfway through college I got tired of my roomates not taking messages when people called for me.

With the exception of CBS shows like The Mentalist and The Amazing Race, I can get everything I want on Hulu for free. I don't mind the wait, because if I DVR something I usually end up watching it a few days leter anyway.

@DoesMyPhaceLookPhat: I'm going to have to throw out the age-old argument that copyright infringement is not theft. It's closer to plagiarism than theft. Nothing is taken, nothing is lost, you are making use of information someone else owns and sells.

@irishman128: Well, technically keeping the digital rips after you have sold the CD is illegal, but they have no way to track it.

@Aaron Palmer: hey, I believe you owe Spy Hunter and Double Dribble an apology. Those were awesome games! They were no Punch Out!, but they were good.

@AllOfUsAreLost.: If they left Marble Madness in their for you, it means they hate you and are intentionally trying to drive you insane.

@technosophe: If a new iteration of OSX is announced Wednesday, historically how long will I have to wait before I can buy an iMac with the new OS on it instead of paying for an upgrade later?

I'm planning on buying an iMac in the near future. If they update OSX, how long does it usually take before they implement it?
