Nothing like a big fat helping of cynicism, huh?

Final year undergraduate doing CGI and Digital Effects here; pretty certain if he's going off the YouTube compressed video, it's because they clip their black and white values. That's what gives it that hazy look. Fairly certain running on an actual PS4 the colours would have the level of contrast you see in this

Man, haven't these guys ever played Game Dev Story, you never make the top 10 if you release your game with bugs.

Very much so! I've got a friend who graduated from a character concept course last year at my University who works at Jagex now; I'm fairly certain this is something she's been working on.

I thought the pre-orders for DK2 had been around for a while and this is them just recently being shipped?

You'll want to have a look at some SIGGRAPH papers on physically based rendering in real time if you'd like the 'how' answered to this. They're fascinating and definitely worth a read (Especially this one http://blog.selfshadow.com/publications/s…)

The effect probably stems from how rendering in the game is done; you can see an example of a similar effect in Wipeout HD (I know, no wheels here, but hear me out), Grid 2 or even Need for Speed.

The real irony here is that a 'meme' is memetic behaviour, so by meme sites posting content from other meme sites, they're just being memetic; ergo a meme site. Oh the wonders of recursive concepts.

I hope you reacted to the opening scene like I did. "Oh, titles! Ah, a couple! Wait...wait this is a bit...oh god this is awkward...oh...oh dear...I don't think they're a couple"

Probably one of the most entertaining and down-to-earth articles I've ever read. Anywhere. Ever.

But would you say the incredibly difficult process of obtaining the firearms at least helps stem the problem? And, as far as I'm aware guns aren't manufactured here, so if they are then it must be kept under some pretty tight wraps away from prying eyes. Surely the criminals are going through great lengths to get the

I'm not talking about this thing as an immediate change or even an absolute of no guns allowed.

Okay, so I'll reword that. It's never SEEMED to be part of the culture here to me and to most (if not all) of the people I know. Because, well, I don't know anyone who's 120 years old and of sound mind to tell me about the good old days of gun ownership.

Straight from the United Nations Office on Drugs and Crime, the murder rate in the USA is 4.2 (12,996 in the past year) and 1.2 in the UK (722 in the past year). France has 1.1, Greece 1.5, Iran 3.0, China 1.0 and Iraq 2.0

Pretty much no-one in the UK has a gun.

I'm sure this'll be lost in the sea of replies saying that you're wrong and you're childish and then going on to comparing a gun to something else that's killed people that isn't actually designed to (I've had cars and steak so far, crazy).

Now call me crazy, but I don't know what the homicide figure for firearms here is in the UK. In fact, it's so crazy low that they don't usually publish the figures because they're negligible. I think if that 31,000 death figure could be reduced by any number would be a good move. No-one needs guns, not as far as I'm

How are steak and guns even closely related? Really, think about it.

Well I'll definitely let you know that I read this and I'm extremely thankful you're open minded enough to support this. Homophobia definitely isn't as rife in the UK as it is in the USA and I'm certain I haven't felt the prejudice burn as much as other LGBT people may have across the globe, but to see that someone

You know those Steam Sales?
