Producer Tatsuya Matsubara has stated that Chaos; Child will retain the psychotic suspense of Chaos; Head Noah, but will add stronger horror elements. As if these games didn't get dark enough.

You and me both, man. I've got some great 60's-era paperback SF with really surreal/psychedelic paintings for the cover art and there's just nothing like it anymore.
I love all the obscure historical/literary humor in Kate's comics (and the artwork reminds me of Quentin Blake, which makes it awesome). Many of her strips really don't have "punchlines" as such (at least, not that I can tell) but the way the characters behave is usually pretty funny to me. I'm racking my brains…
I read that one! and it was one of the first things I thought of when coming across this article.
This I can agree with. There's plenty of legitimate scientific reason to believe in powerful forces beyond the boundaries of our current human comprehension; styling these forces as 'God' or the work of God is purely a personal preference and should be left to the individual.
I don't, but I know my mum does. She claims she couldn't watch The Abyss because she felt like she couldn't breathe during some of the scenes.
If I'm waiting where there's computer access, I'm either reading novels/wikipedia articles or writing. If there's no computer access I'll either be meditating or working on stories in my head, depending on how quiet the environment is.
Be a sadist. No matter how sweet and innocent your leading characters, make awful things happen to them—in order that the reader may see what they are made of.
That was why I started reading 1984. "Thirteen? clocks don't strike thirteen. Let me read a little further and find out exactly what's going on here." An excellent hook.
I've done a lot of research (not all of it involved reading monster erotica, thank you) and I think the feeling of ego-safety that comes from "othering" a sexual object is a primary attraction for these types of fiction. In my theory this explains not only sexy Bigfoot porn but also furries and even the female…
This article reminds me of the time my cat had a slight cold and it made her eyes tear up. I simply could not convince my GF that the cat was not actually "crying" due to sadness (she assumed it had felt lonely.) She was really concerned about its feelings too.
Tea eggs are much more awesome than regular hardboiled eggs. Most Taiwanese restaurants here will give you one alongside your meal if you're getting something like popcorn chicken or pork cutlet.
This series was my absolute hands-down favorite as a teenager; I'm pretty sure I read the entire original story at one point. Fortunately my parents (and the libraries that stocked the novels) never realized that there was quite a bit of violence/torture in the stories and some pretty unambiguous depictions of…
Egyptian mythology certainly changed over time. That being said, there was one rather famous pharaoh named Akhenaten who tried to drastically rework their religion into a monotheistic faith where only Aten (who was identified with Re/Ra) was worshipped. Understandably all the priests of the other gods were unhappy…
I wrote a book about a black-goo-based alien lifeform; I was about a week from finishing it when the trailers for Helix first came out. That was strange.
But it has to glow. If it's glowing you can be 98% reassured it'll give mutant superpowers to anyone who touches it.
The character is implied to be male, but this is never stated outright (and Tieria isn't human anyway, so could be genderless for all we know.)
Could be. But ask yourself: Would you really care if it was?
For some Russian sci-fi on the topic of these testicle transplants, Bulgakov's 'Heart of a Dog' is a really good read (and a pretty vicious satire on the Soviet 'New Man' to boot.)
Well, I'm ready.
