I don’t get the whole don’t vote thing. I’m from Australia where it is illegal to not vote without a good reason, and good reason better include a note from a doctor or proof of some sort or you’ll be getting a fine. But your local reps aren’t. Change starts at the bottom not the top. You’ve got to throw the first pebble to start an avalanche & other platitudes about getting off your ass & voting. So you won’t change the big scene, but you can send a message by changing the local scene in your area. Politicians.

I’m a recent immigrant to the US, I was talking with my FIL a man over the age of 60 about the election & had to explain to him about the electoral college.
