All major brand (like MSI/Gigabyte/EVGA/etc) have warranties on their products. Usually as long if not longer than prebuilt computers warranties.

I've been fortunate on the 20+ computer builds that I've worked on to have one component fail (cd drive) and that was replaced immediately.

Assuming these reviewers are educated. It's like yelp, it's a crapshoot. I tend to stick to enthusiast forums to get informed opinions. Overclock.net and anandtech are great and helpful and friendly.
