I'm sorry. I totally understand the shame factor. If I hadn't written this down on my intake form, I don't think I would have even been able to tell my current therapist. It's so stupid and gross it's hard to bring up, even in a therapy situation.

Oh man, I can relate to this. It took me FOREVER to figure out how to get off, and even then, it's difficult.

So, three years ago or so, I started picking at skin and hair on my legs as a nervous habit. Naturally, this led to ingrown hairs and scabs, which I then dug out with razor blades and needles. I'm sure you can see where this cycle is headed.

Gross habit question in reply, because it involves some borderline self-harm stuff.
