For a pale ale Shoals is fine. Finestkind is a really new standard IPA, Big is great if you like maly double IPA’s. Really old Brown dog is awesome. Every sip there is a different flavor. Rubust Porter is probably their best beer. But you are right, all the new and seasonal seems more entry level like Sam Adams.

I have been really bored of Smuttynose lately. Don’t know if they lost their focus putting up their new brewery but newer varieties have been meh.
