For Steak I go for S&P and some garlic and onion powder. It adds a nice crust but doesn't overpower with flavor. All a pad of herb butter onto once I take it off the heat. And IMO that is way more than should be done, steak is a keep it simple stupid kind of meat when you have a good cut.

Used this recipe for last two years and it's gangbusters. If you don;t want the gravy skip that step but the cooking instructions are easy and the turkey it buttah. Also helps to get a turkey from a local farm if you can, they really are juicier.

Make herb butter. I do this with big meals like thanksgiving when there is a ton left over. Lets a stick or two get to room temp shopped them all up, mix them up, wrap in plastic and chuck in the freezer. Nothing better than a steak coming off the grill and putting a chunk of it on there while the meat rests.
