@Blakkar: Actually not. (official answer depends on the state actually)

@IslandMisfit: *edit* a picture says a thousand words

I remember a friend's garage had a really simple parking assist setup - he thumb-tacked a tennis-ball-on-a-string to the ceiling over the windshield (touching the windshield or hood, so each time he pulled in, the ball would tap the car when it was as far forward as it needed to be) but then the twist was to add an

interesting article and even more interesting perspectives from all the comments here - i'm in the market for a new car which i intend to keep for 10 years (i plan to buy the 'exact car i want' with the least if none comporomises) - i'm a driver at heart but live in a place that's so useless for driving that walking

i'm packing my bags to move to the UK. sweet.

i <3 car build time lapse videos - it's like watching your first born, but less messy

if america wants another one, they can pick it up outta hawaii for a cool grand...

@west-coaster: when i moved here i was blown away; ive seen 4runners, isuzu rodeo's, camry's, g35 sedans and coupes, mustangs of every year, yesterday a green durango, plain chevy/ford pickups - all of which only have a single blue light strapped to the roof - no signage, no markings. nothing. the wierdest choice was

digging those wheels... though im going to need alot more wax to match those aero numbers... hmm..shaped like a brick, im still surprised at the mpg's i get

i'd be interested in seeing how many of these make it to hawaii.. we've already got chargers, among g35 coupe and sedans, 4 runners and caprices...

Scion enthusiasts for me - probably more so since i was part of the culture; and they helped me take a 15k econobox and turn it into a multi-show winner.. those were the days...

and if you keep your ear to the ground (so to speak) you can pick up a touchstone charger and plastic induction back for $10 from verizon.. i did, though yet to find time to do this to my evo...

wow! that's amazing! it's like the iphone4 can do what my evo did two weeks ago!!

@ph15h: you could do that to a copy of your car key (assuming you dont have the immobilizer thing in the key)

@Møbius: Ive still got an '86 SE V6MT sittin on my driveway... stock as the day she was bought... 46k on her and I dont know what to do.. Fieroghinni? Or Fauxrarri?

@Log1c: hopefully you've followed up on a tutuorial floating out there on how to get gmaps/marketplace up and running?

@zer0zen: at a concept car unveiling i was at, they confiscated any phone that had a camera... so there's at least one place that it's a problem lol

@Duckspwn: at my Co. camera's are a norm since we use them to document things we run into at work - i think it's more of an espionage/liability concern with other companies
