This is, stylistically, a very appealing and accessible matchup. Ratings will be terrible but it’s really a great series for casual fans.

I have never watched hockey. Ever. I can’t explain why, really. I just never cared. But my kids were curious about the sport when we accidentally flipped to this last night. And between my valiant (and failed) attempts at explaining the rules and the frantic energy seen from the players, we were captivated by this

If anything this playoffs without Stamkos was probably the best outcome they could have -minus what happened last night-. The executives got to see first hand what kind of team they have with out Stamkos, and it was pretty damn good.

Aging the four personas 16 years, it’s quite troubling:

This is just like high school in my old ‘97 right down to the snowbank murder, except I’m not listening to Sum 41 and crying about a girl.

What does this mean for the future of making Ballaban stay in a van?

John Medeski of Medeski Martin & Wood.

I own an 11' Volt I bought used 2 years ago. The new Volt will be on my shopping list once they become... “ used enough” to drop the prices.

People like me, who live in the suburbs, don’t have to worry about hauling fence posts. You know what I do when I need new fence? I call a contractor and cut a check. Steve Holt!

There are no NBA playoffs, the team with the most regular season wins takes the title, and a team from the D-league was promoted into the NBA and then won said title with a payroll 20% as much as their competitors.

Periscope the whole game!

Wife is giving me carte blanche for my 40th. Which of course is only 1115 days away and plenty of time for me to change my mind 100 times. I had it down to about 5. F-Pace, welcome to “The List!” It’s going to be a long 3 years. sigh.

Another Panthers fan, so there are at least 2 of us! (It’s almost as if we had enough fans to sell out a 20,000-seat arena on Friday night...with a smattering of road fans, of course. Funny how that works.)

Speak for yourself, we had a joint party in which our wedding party floated the river for the weekend. Friday night the groups split up and went to their own bars that sounded fun but around midnight we all met back up, Saturday we floated the river all day and partied all night while Sunday everybody went back their

I personally think all parties should have joints.

And checkerboard pads.
