Call me old school but I kind of wish the racing was “here you go boys and girls, 200 laps, whoever finishes first wins” Stages, Planned Cautions, Playoffs, etc make the sport a complete yawn fest to me.

As much as I agree with you that the field could be deeper in terms of parity, watching the two Mercs and the two Ferraris fight it out at the end gave me chills. If they had 20 cars on the grid doing the same thing, there would be no doubt of the sport’s entertainment value.

How about the Austrian GP? The only three cars on the lead lap were the three on the podium. Romain Grosjean finished fourth AND a lap down. (coincidentally, both Red Bulls and one Merc didn’t finish the race)

I have one observation... the two Haas cars (4th and 5th place) both finished a lap down. Literally, the only cars on the lead lap were the three podium finishers...

We came back to this game last night (we being a group of friends who game a couple nights a week). The frustration with the net code, UI, buggy matchmaking, slow load times, drops, disconnects, etc all was worse (or at least no better) than they were three months ago. (on XboxOne)

Unreal. That said, I’m sure it has got to be difficult to weed out the wannabes from the actual photographers. A friend of mine shot the Indy 500 for 20 years only to have his pass revoked when AP let all their staff photographers go.  

Absolutely stunning gallery. Was it hard to get a photo pass for the race? This has always been a bucket list item for me!
