I grew up in a college town so there were all kinds of facilities around campus that were not used during the summer with the school on break. We found one tennis court where the netting and posts could be pulled out which made for a perfect street hockey court.

Adam,

And... Here is tonight's super moon

Here is my pic from last night's moon

Well... that just took Virginia off my places to visit/move/live/drive list. Fuck them and their fucking ass-backwards laws.

I have a monitor and goggles. I end up using the monitor 99% of the time as it allows me to show others what I am filming. (education creates understanding) For me, it's pretty weird to have the goggles on and hear people come up next to you.

I love my iPhone but there is no way it can do half of what my GoPro can do...

Yes,

It's a tough balance... some people mount water bottles (empty of course) on the ends of the arms. Others have built floats for the landing skids. With salt water though, a failure is going to result in the inevitable dunking and (and certain death) for the electronics. If I was flying over freshwater I would add a

I've used that a few times (like this one) but I kind of like the fisheye look!

What was he shooting with? Jello comes from the high frequency vibrations generated by the props. When you are in really bright conditions, the shutter speed ends up too high which leads to the net result of a rolling shutter (jello)

If you have a GoPro, get the Phantom 2/H3-3D Gimbal combo. Better camera and more customizable in the end.

That's a great tip... I start to head home and land at 50%. Better to not push it.

I have a Parrot 2.0 as well. It was great to learn on and gain experience before getting into the bigger (and more expensive) quad I have now. I went through many propellers and even one motor during my learning curve. I will say, having a proper RC controller makes a huge difference too.

It's more of an acceptance... I know that if I crash I lose the camera and the quadcopter. It makes me make sure to follow a thorough pre-flight checklist, checking batteries, GPS position, controller functions, compass calibration etc.

I've been filming with my DJI Phantom 2 now for a couple of months. As I have become more comfortable with the quadcopter's capabilities (and my flying skill) I am astounded by what it can do. The combination of the Phantom, a 3 axis gimbal and a GoPro camera makes for some truly awesome footage.

The kickstarter reward should also come with some sort of training as to what to do after you have aged your steak.

The real crime is the fact that the in-car video was shot vertically...

Congrats to Audi... The whole race felt like the tortoise and the hare. Audi knows their car is reliable and will run the whole 24 hours. I think seeing Fernando Alonso there was interesting, would love to see Ferrari and Nissan get into the mix in the LMP1 class. Endurance racing is way more interesting than the
