I call BS on the angled windshield offering better visibility. The traditional vertical windshield offers panoramic views and allows pedestrians to bounce off the front. These angled windshields seem they are more there for aerodynamics (which is silly considering their top speed will be under 45 mph), are more prone

Venture capital/private equity are the epitome of unchecked greed. They destroy whatever they touch because their focus is on strictly making money, not longevity of the company.

I look forward to them adopting Trump’s preferred paint scheme and then hearing them screams as Air Force One is continually grounded because its systems overheat (the Air Force has specified that the new color scheme won’t work because of heat dissipation issues with the darker color).

Helicopter was using VFR and was supposed to identify and avoid the plane on his own. I don’t know what rules the plane was under but probably also VFR.

Aircraft was on an approach to a different runway than usually used, so helicopter pilot may have fixated on wrong aircraft on approach. He told ATC he had the plane in sight, but speculation is he had the wrong plane in sight.

Comments on other boards indicate TCAS notifications are off under a certain altitude on civilian aircraft. I don’t think military helos have TCAS.

Speculation is that he was focused on another aircraft that he thought was the aircraft he was supposed to be avoiding as the crash aircraft was on a different approach than most approaches.

Maybe the airbag deployed previously?

I think there’s a lot of blame and nuance to go around.

That’s debatable, though. It’s both the consumers’ fault, but also the manufacturers (and dealers) who push more expensive SUV/CUVs at the expense of cheaper, more practical vehicles..

In other words, SCE will seek to obfuscate ownership and delay the case so they can eventually get off scott-free.

Agreed. Part of the blame can be foisted on Carlos Ghosn and his cost-cutting, but also on the ridiculous French alliance that did nothing to help the brand or share product.

1. Pushbutton start ACC position: I would sometimes like to turn the engine off but still listen to the radio. With many pushbutton starters, it just turns everything off.

Sigh. Once again we ruin everything. This is why we can’t have nice/fun things.

It’s dumb because it’s contradictory. Liberty wants to expand F1's exposure to the world, but doing stupid things like this only make the sport more bland and less exciting.

Maybe the FIA shouldn’t air driver radio then? They basically created the problem by trying to open up the sport for more ratings, not to mention they want driver personalities (e.g. Verstappen) to come out in media to build attention to the sport.

Randomly saw both an undercover Audi A4 and a Toyota Highlander in downtown suburbs of Maryland - they just sit there all day with flashing red and blues, possibly to deter retail smash-and-grabs.

Ha ha ha. You must be white, because anyone with a non-white skin knows that route is a shortcut to handcuffs and a long wait for a drug dog, at best.

Hopefully he can guide their strategy more. I disagree regarding his inability to setup the car - he’s more of a “feeling” guy than a “data” guy, from what I gather. He tells engineers how the car feels and they correlate it with data. Younger drivers like Russell may be more comfortable working with data, especially

Aside from Russell challenging him, the team built a car (over multiple years) while ignoring some of his input (cockpit placement, etc.).
