I know.

Most aircraft have cylindrical cross-sections with the passenger area at or above the midpoint. That leaves room for cargo containers below but also some limited space above the passenger area. Some airlines outfit long-haul aircraft with a crew rest area - basically a crawl space with beds, so there’s a decent amount

I mean, he has an initial vision. Tesla, Starlink, and SpaceX were great ideas that he brought to fruition, whether by hook or crook.

CR lists Rivian very low in terms of reliability, hence its absence.

That’s probably base salary - it’s not mentioned if it’s net or gross. It probably excludes the vast majority of her net worth, which would be wrapped up in RSUs.

“Lee admits that she has a complicated relationship with money and is hoping to teach her son a better way of viewing things she told him, “Just because someone has a nice car doesn’t mean that they’re wealthy.”

Agreed re: all WDCs, but Max takes it to the next level. While Schuey and Ham did it to a certain extent, they didn’t do take it to the dangerous level that Max does.

Except Senna had respect for his fellow drivers and the sport and was a compassionate person off-track. And he wasn’t the first of his kind to do so.

This was another instance of what happens when you don’t enforce rules for the “chosen one” (this applies to Max, Hamilton, Schumacher, et al). When you let them get away with certain maneuvers to preserve the show rather than the racing, you end up with shitshows like the ‘21 debacle and now this.

Apparently they served the 5-second penalty before retiring the car.

To be fair, his companies have changed the paradigm in terms of EV adoption, satellite internet access, and space exploration, especially in terms of development and procurement.

Ah yes, renting your car out to serve as taxis for strangers - another master stroke from the Elmo.

$40k gets you a CPO 2022 ES300h located within 100 miles of DC, $55k nets a brand new 2024 ES300h Ultra Luxury or even a RX350 Premium if he wants a SUV to haul stuff.

Agreed. Around my neighborhood (DC suburbs), Rivians are showing up in greater numbers, along with Lucid Airs, a couple of Cybertrucks, and even an odd Hummer EV or two. That’s not including all the EV Audi, Volvos, and HyunKias. I see a lot more Ioniqs than I have the EV6, but maybe that’s also because this area is

This might be more of a “hold this course until otherwise directed) type of autopilot. Someone please correct me if I’m wrong.

Nice. Do you have problem with a lack of real estate stock too? The DMV has very few houses for sale, and those that are tend to run on the pricey side.

Unless an EV is an absolute must, I’d recommend a CPO Audi A4/A6 sedan or wagon. Plush highway cruisers with decent power (go for the 3.0T or 55 A6, not the lease-special 2.0T or 45). Even CPO E-Classes/5-series fall in his budget.

Have you seen housing costs in the DMV? He’s in Annapolis, which is 45- to 60-minutes away from DC and housing is still $700k. Come inside the Beltway and you’re looking at $1 million++ for a starter/fixer-upper in any respectable neighborhood.

I hope VW inherits Rivian’s UI rather than the other way around....

I mean, at least this looks feasible, although I don’t think a 2-seater is the right size.
