I was thinking more like Dacia Logan and Nissan Quest.

I hate to come into such a mature discussion and suddenly hit one out of the park like this, but what about the Pyeonghwa Hwiparam? It's a Fiat Stilo CKD assembled in North Korea by the unholy alliance of the DPRK and the church of Sun Myung Moon. How could an Italian CKD assembled by commies in cahoots with the

Wow, I'd be inclined to agree, but I'm not quite sure that counts as a "car" as such.

The current E-series isn't even close to as old as that, and certainly serves a different purpose. If old=bad, see the Brazilian VW Kombi.

Slow? No.

Very molested, probably not original, totally incomplete. It's a good-looking parts car of a 930 at best.

I don't think that this is even a real 930, and the 959 conversion has enough obvious flaws to not make it even pass muster in the Kroger parking lot. When you're starting with a car that has the greenhouse and other hard points right, how do you excuse getting the Fiberglas parts wrong? Pay no more for this than

Maybe if it was $20,000 cheaper.

Porsche is pretty good at charging to even more to leave off stuff that was standard, such as not only A/C, but also door handles. If they can figure out how to charge extra to leave off things like tires, batteries, and windows, they will.

You have a point about wear. Especially MB Tex lasted forever.

I love velour seats. The ones in my 98 still looked great when the car had nearly 190k miles despite my fat ass sliding across them to get in. Not a rip or tear in sight and the plush softness was nice.

It's not quite as bad as you said. There's nothing unusual about leather seating surfaces with vinyl everywhere else, and I'm quite ok with that. What I'm not ok with is an expensive car with seats that, as mdp310 said above, people assume are leather by the cost of the car. They should be leather, considering I've

It's already been said, but not why: the Moke is the only car to have been on Pitcairn Island. Ultimate island car for the ultimate island.

Genuine leather is a big deal then. That was the Malaise era of vinyl, and so the Real Deal would've been unusual. I'm a little saddened that it seems that pleather is making such a comeback in luxury marques. The thought of paying BMW prices and getting a car with hot sticky seats like a '76 Chevette puts me off.

Who the hell is voting Nice Price? Stoopid!

This should be in the 99% NP category. 500ci Caddy engine, El Camino, and it's down in the "why the hell not" territory.

Noone short of Dr. Rockso with a few degrees and a pilot's license could replace Lutz to me.

1st gear: Not enough change. You know what kind of change would benefit GM? Hiring Lutz back, putting him in charge of both product and company culture. Why is Lutz the man that the industry loves but is perpetually afraid to put in charge? I thought his initial hiring at GM was finally recognition that Chrysler

And what do you do for an out-of-state person?

I'll go with NP on the basis of irrational Wankel love. That said the limited slip won't be nearly as necessary as you imply, nor will it be much faster really than the 2.0 it came with. 750 is seriously over carbed, and it'll bog down if you floor it. Still cool, though.
