AFAIK, the most recent one of these actually on display (and indeed the most recent one actually based on a car, too) is the one at the Clinton library which was delivered in 1992 and used during his term. Their staff can dust it, but they have to call the Secret Service if it has to be moved.

You want to talk about distracted driving? Imagine trying to drive with Drew Barrymore and Jennifer Connoly facing towards you.

I want to know more about this. Is the engine in the middle/back as suggested by the scoops?

You might want to bring a trailer. It ran when parked, but it's been sitting outside for 40 years.

You think the car's expensive? The destination charge is a real bitch. That Houston talk radio station is occasionally interesting.

Oh, a Lady! Well, hel-lo!

Thanks. Now I'm picturing a 727 in somebody's back yard with one car tarp sort of thrown over the middle doing nothing to hide it. And laughing at the thought.

Never, ever anywhere close to that much for a Beetle.

They might've meant the Prelude, but it was tiny in '86 and wasn't really playing against this group. I think they probably meant the Isuzu Impulse, which was technically another GM product of sorts. Not a great car, but probably the best Chevette you've ever driven. Available with a husky 140 hp turbo for some

In '86, the obvious choice would be to wait for '89. That year you could get a healthy 350 or turbo 3.8 in the Firebird, a 225-hp fuel injected 5.0 in the Mustang, and possibly a turbo Supra instead of the lame Celica.

I misunderstood the harpy. She didn't say "do you know who you're talking to," she said "who do you think you are?" Either way, she's a bitch.

Why the hell didn't he rev it some more and cup his hand pretending he couldn't hear?

That isn't a part number, but a material marking for recycling.

That appears to be a perfect match. Is that for an Explorer, or Sportrac? I know the Sportrac remained on the Ranger platform longer than the Explorer did.

If he personally finds the culprit, I guarantee an online smear campaign.

Oh, come on. You know that sweet leather case with the Sinatra 8-tracks in it would make your day.

I'd love to have one of those Imperials with the modern Hemi in it.

Based on the seller alone, NO! I wouldn't piss in their mouths if they were on fire.

No HID kit there. It came with them. One of the very first cars to come with HID was the VIII, and one of the only ones to use them in a reflector housing.

Cool story, bro.
