Yeah, it’s a completely foreign viewpoint to me. I wouldn’t be happy if a service person were openly hostile to me but honestly, I’m not sure I’d report them even then. When you work a sucky job, of course you’re hostile.

If you think the UK is grumpy, try mainland Europe. The customer service there can feel outright hostile in some places.
