@amalik62: It seems to me that what thejtrain is talking about is games where you *MUST* install and play the game through STEAM.

@ngv001: When I can go to the store, and buy a game, take it home, and then install and play it without STEAM (or even an internet connection), and adding said game to my STEAM account is a CHOICE, then I will be happy.

@dsi1: You still need internet to play games that require STEAM. Whether you need it to verify and/or install the content, you still need to have internet, at least at some point in the process.

@Jezedude: You still use a HSF on your CPU?

@LightPwny: BTX was the new big thing around the same time Socket T (LGA 775) was introduced.

@kaffenated: I live near Philadelphia, and since getting my iPhone 4 have traveled to NYC, and while the service in the SEPA region is usually decent, the service in NYC was wildly varied between acceptable and totally non-functional. @pixelsnader: "Not sure what you mean with the start menu being more cluttered. In XP"

@whatne1wuddo: Admittedly I haven't really been to spankwire since they put up their paywall, but the last time I did, once it thought I had 0 views remaining, it wouldn't let me watch any more movies.

@pixelsnader: It has to do with how I use the menu; Imagine if you to use the File menu in Photoshop (or whatever) and found that they'd completely changed the layout so that it wasn't familiar and was cluttered with useless bits (like XP did), and directed all your keyboard input to a search box, requiring you to

@pixelsnader: That sounds like my exact reasoning behind not going to Windows 7 — they removed the classic start menu, which means that I can't access it purely by keyboard...

@uncle moe: All I'm saying is that it should be common knowledge that a meter is approximately equal to a yard (at least close enough for this type of comparison) that you could have assumed:
