“Honestly I feel like we’re only halfway through the story and there is only 1 episode left.”
That’s been all these SW shows with the exception of Andor and Mando season 1. They really do keep leaving too much til the end.

They can recast, sure, but I’m maybe one of the few people who’s fine with the de-aging CGI thing. This franchise is practically a 50/50 split between animation and live action anyway and if the story is good, I don’t care if the effects look a bit wonky.
I have little interest in Mario but if this leads to a Metroid movie, I’m in.
I like Johnson and would be happy to live in a world where he was at the top of Superhero Movie Mountain. But it ain’t happening, at least not on the back of Black Adam, which I think he cared about a lot more than most of the other middling stuff he’s been in. I can certainly understand why he’s having a hard time…
Also, here in 2023, the big alligator monster in the beginning looked almost as green-screened as the Rancor, in 1983.
The title sequence was a slow build that gradually added new layers every episode, while also using its instrumentation to reference the cultures that were central to each episode. In other words, it works for the same reason the show did: it was a smart, slow burn that reveals more the more you dig. It also did…
I’m sorry for whatever went sideways in your life that led to you developing this “poor white me” persecution complex; god forbid you use some of the energy you’re pouring into arguing here fixing it.
You know, I think one of the symptoms of long-term weed consumption is believing that cliched weed jokes are still funny.
“All you are doing by shitting in a box is delaying how long it takes to get actual treatement for a disease.”
That should be on billboards nationwide.
To me, the main thrust joke wasn’t the gay reveal, it was the extent of the life the other two were leading and hiding from the third guy, but seemingly only from him. That said, two men kissing on television is still pretty damn rare so I would agree that it’s a cheap/lazy guaranteed crowd reaction stunt for the…
I watched one of the prequels the other day. The CGI hasn’t aged all that great and I found myself wondering why they haven’t given those movies a big ol’ facelift and dropped them in theaters a la the OG trilogy? They’re not perfect films but they really do stand out in retrospect for the sheer scope of what they…
I’m 47 years old and saw the movie in the theater and this take never occurred to me. Granted I wasn’t a big fan and haven’t watched or spent much time thinking about it since, but that Rose was just using one guy to get away from another guy is almost more believable than the magical love angle (it’s a real-life…
At least they openly admit they made the changes to pander to the lowest common denominator. Makes me wonder why they even bothered adapting the book in the first place though.
Side thought: when I read the book, I remember thinking it would be perfect for the Coen Brothers to adapt. I stand by that.
Solid point. That hadn’t occurred to me; I was too busy being mad that they pulled a Cujo with the kid dying.
Wonder if Hasselhoff did his Baywatch movie cameo for free? Or if they even had the nerve to *ask* him to do it for free? I’m not a betting man but I’d put it all on “no.”
Lay off with the straw man nonsense. Believe Anderson or don’t, this article isn’t about Biden; go grind that axe somewhere else. That said, you’re right, she’s provided no evidence. Which is how most sexual assault/impropriety accusations work because predators generally don’t do their thing in front of crowds or…
Maybe somewhere in the Dark Tower multiverse there’s a world where Stephen King has an editor, but this one ain’t it. Either that, or his editor simply never made it that far in that 1,000+ page tome.
It’s no Rural Juror, that’s for sure.
The bear skit needed to be a little shorter and timed better. I still thought it was a pretty funny, absurd ending, but the timing was just off. Unrelated: Sarah Sherman is well on her way to being season MVP.
That’s some good research. I remember liking Get Carter. The rest I...haven’t seen.
