"Even IF I were to grant that Prius/hybrid owners are "smug" (which I don't), any smugness they exhibit is FAR outmatched by the dismissive smugness of the haters. Grow up, kids."

Unfortunately the increased efficiency of automatics / automated manuals only really serve to provide talking points for people who are too lazy to learn to drive a stick. Do you really think Mr. M3 driver got the DCT 'box because he needs to go get to work .03 seconds faster? Or that he cares about the .5 mpg

My car doesn't have good pickup, but it handles like it's on rails!

"There's no production-intent for this vehicle, but what you see here is certainly a preview of a future Soul and possibly a three-door version."

Actually, the plaintiff represented herself.

Comments on how Obama wants to kill all fun cars along with freedom, liberty, and bunnies in 3...2....1....

Well, the general view of this hypothetical Apple car seems to be pretty negative, but I think an "iCar" could be pretty interesting. Let's see...

As it turns out, most computer geeks don't give a hoot about what they drive. As a result, most of them just have "a car" (read: Honda Civic).

"So you are the exception/don't apply to his rule."

This article reminds me a lot of the ones that used to be written by former Edmunds.com editor Karl Brauer. By that of course, I mean that they came with a huge helping of political bias and were largely fueled by a combination of "hear-what-I-want-to-hear" facts and anecdotal evidence.

This is like buying baby wipes for a parent. You love your kids, but you don't love wiping their ass.

Cynical as it may be, the Mini may be the least cynical of the retro-revival cars. The Beetle is just a warmed-over Golf, and the 500 is just a warmed-over Panda. At least the Mini a) is unique and b) drives well.

So wait...explain to me how the Mini is badge engineering again?

Well either way, I think we can both agree that it's odd looking.

The Veloster was probably the most disappointing car I have ever driven. I excepted a Hyundai Mini Cooper, but instead what I got was the worst throttle response I have ever encountered, steering that was connected to nothing, a droney, uninspiring engine note, and a gearchange that provided almost no impression that

"Some were worried about what this meant for Nintendo games."

CP. Police cars aren't as cool as you think they are.

Why is it ALWAYS an SLR? What is it about that car specifically that attracts people with such awful taste?

Seriously. This is great fucking news.

Ahh but, at 260bhp, wouldn't people just say that for a couple grand more, one could buy a 370Z? And isn't the 370Z's problem that it doesn't have 412bhp like the similarly-priced Mustang GT? See how this power thing works?
