Yeah there is a chance for that to happen but with all the modders and developers already converting old games to use it there is a lot of interest. Even the Kinect which had a lot of hype hasn't had very many games that actually utilize it in really creative ways (child of eden, kinect adventures) beyond dance games.

In my opinion something like the Oculus Rift and the Omni has way more potential then the Kinect.

Probably somewhere around 800, it just depends on how much you want to spend on each part. How big of a hard drive, how much ram, how new of a video card. how fancy a case. I just threw a quick build together and it came out to $750.
